Margaret Ann Milne, from her CAQ Hall of Recognition citation

Margaret Ann was born in 1897 in Redfern, Sydney. On 10 May 1911 she married David Howat Milne. By 1931 the couple were living at Indooroopilly, where David worked as a clerk. David died in 1964, survived by Margaret and their family.

Graceville Croquet Club

Margaret is Graceville Croquet Club's most successful player ever, as shown by her achievements below. She also found time to serve as club secretary from 1946 to 1950. On her retirement from the club she donated her mallet, inscribed with her 1950 ACA Championship win as Captain of the Queensland team in the first ACA Championship, and it hangs at the club as an inspiration to this day.

Administration

Margaret represented NSW on the ACA council in 1951, and Queensland in 1954 and 1966. She was a QCA referee, and was Test representative with Mrs Sowden for NSW in 1938 and for Queensland in 1939.
