CAQ Secretary

Runs the administration: meetings, minutes, correspondence and the member register.

The Secretary is the chief administration officer of CAQ.

Responsibilities

  • to promote croquet within and beyond the croquet community;
  • in conjunction with the President, convene all meetings, prepare and circulate agendas and all necessary documentation, prepare and distribute minutes
  • collaborate with President, Vice-President and all members of the Management Committee
  • act as a primary point of contact for all enquiries and keep a register of all correspondence
  • action everyday emails and refer emails to relevant CAQ officers
  • maintain CAQ's register of members

Skills

  • a passion for the sport of croquet
  • some knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the legislation relating to non-profit organisations
  • efficient management, organisational and administrative skills and technological skills commensurate with the position

The Secretary receives an annual honorarium, and the CAQ budget allows for the role to be paid.
