Carmel and Roy Donley served Queensland croquet for many years. Carmel supervised event management and Roy supervised refereeing during a period of rapid change , player development and education, and associated challenges, responding to the growth and development of Golf Croquet in Queensland. They adapted to these demands and to the use of computers in communication, recording and management. Roy trained and mentored referees in AC & GC and Carmel set a great example in management of events for others to follow. Carmel is a Past President of Croquet Queensland, serving in 2001- 2002. Carmel & Roy donated Plates for both Men's snd Women's events associated with the Men's and Women's Golf Croquet Singles. The award has inspired many to progress much further in the game of Golf Croquet.
