STATE SQUAD TEAMS (GC and AC) and STATE DEVELOPMENT SQUAD (GC)

After much thought and discussion Greg Bury has withdrawn from his co-ordinator role for the
above three squads for the time being.
As you would all know, Greg has a huge role now as Manager of the Australian Croquet Association
Academy. This role has a number of really urgent strategic tasks which are pressing, and in order to
achieve these Greg and I have discussed the situation and Greg has made the decision to withdraw
from his State commitments.
I know that you will join me in thanking Greg for all the work, experience and enthusiasm that he has
shared with the squads. This was not an easy decision for Greg, however his work in furthering
croquet as a sport will benefit all of us. Once that work is close to completion we will look forward
to welcoming him back into the Queensland fold.
For now, that means we are seeking Expressions of Interest for the three positions below:-
 Association State Team Squad Coordinator (Top 20 selected players)
 Golf Croquet State Team Squad Coordinator (Top 20 selected players)
 Golf Croquet Development Squad Coordinator (Next 20 players)
The CAQ Management Committee are open to discussion about the roles and would be prepared to
consider a sharing of the role. The job title is co-ordinator deliberately as the person taking the role
would be responsible for coordinating the coaching practice but not necessarily carrying it out
personally.
