It was great to have 16 entries. The event was played in the following format - 2 blocks of 8, the top 4 from each block continued to the championship- 2 blocks of 4, winner of each block played for the honour of champion.
Bruce Fleming played Jacky Lynch with Bruce the winner and champion. Bruce won all his games. It was great to see Jacky contest the final.
The plate was played as a block of 6, with Lindsay David the winner and Chris Borlase runner-up.
Thanks to all the volunteers. Lawns were great.

The event was played over four days, the first two day’s blocks determined the qualifiers for the Championship. Winners of the Championship blocks (Bruce Fleming & Jacky Lynch) contested the Final. Bruce was undefeated over four days; he pegged out in all games but one.

Addison Matthews continues to impress with his determination to excel in all codes of Croquet.
Players enjoyed the hospitality and lovely lawns at Toombul Croquet Club thanks to Hedi Trask and Wayne Appleby.
