Players will be seeded the day after the closing day on their World Rankings by the CAQ Selection Committee on 21 March. If the player has no world ranking then they will be seeded by current handicap and index. The draws will be published on croquetscores.com at least one day before the competition begins. The list of entrants will be available on this site from 23 March- events.
Registration starts at 7.30am
Play Starts at 8am
Hoops will be set at 3 11/16” with an upward tolerance of zero and a downward tolerance of 1/32”
WCF endorsed balls will be used
Games will be timed at 1 hour or longer depending on the number of players.
The players will be divided into 3 tiers of 8 and one of 7, as is required by the entry numbers. Selection is divided by qualifying World Rank order or index. Played as round robin over two days.
The winner of each Eight will be the player with the most wins, then hoops, if tied - the winner of the games between the two players.
Prizes and trophies: Shields for First and Second Eights, Bespoke trophy for Third Eight and Gripp Trophy for Fourth Eight and badges.
Practice session will/not be available TBA
Lunches are available for order at Stephens - choice of ham & salad rolls or cheese & salad rolls - $8 ea. + $5 for all day tea & coffee.
Sandwiches are available at Wynnum price TBA
Video and live streaming may be carried out at the competiton
All players and officials will receive a link for feedback after the event.
